The ToooAir TA-981 PoC Mobile is a next-generation fixed-mount Push-to-Talk over Cellular (PoC) radio, developed to meet evolving operational requirements and shaped by more than three years of customer feedback and field experience.

As satellite connectivity platforms such as Starlink continue to expand coverage across Australia, reliable nationwide communications are becoming increasingly accessible. The TA-981 is designed to leverage these emerging networks, enabling seamless communication virtually anywhere in Australia.

Features

Group Call (One to Many)

User can select pre-programmed groups and instigate a group call and talk to all members of the group. User can also be part of multiple groups and choose a primary group for transmission.

Individual Private Call (One to One)

User can select an individual radio or the dispatcher and perform a one on one private call outside the group.

Internal GPS Engine

The internal GPS engine reports its position every 60 seconds to the dispatcher (Programmable). GPS acquisition status is shown on the radio LCD display.

Quick 3 Digit-Dial

Utilizing the MC-202 keypad microphone the radio can seamlessly create private calls like traditional MPT systems. Once the 3 digits are dialled a private call will be setup instantly between the users. *Keypad microphone sold separately.

Optional Bluetooth Remote PTT

Utilizing the optional PTT remote, the user can transmit using the small, velcro attachable PTT switch. The in-built microphone with noise-canceling offers true hands-free operation.

 

Missed Call Alert

Not responding to a private call after 20 seconds will leave a Missed Call Alert in the radio creating an audible tone for 30 minutes. Pressing the back key twice will display a Missed Call list with user name and time stamp display for call back access.

Lock/Unlock Volume

Prevent accidental volume changes, with lockable volume settings.

Dedicated SOS

A dedicated SOS button that when held in for 3 seconds sends an alert to all other units and an alert showing where the user is located on the Dispatcher’s map display.

Voice Recordings

The unit can have all the transmissions that are broadcasted or received recorded to the device. The recordings can be easily accessed through the user-friendly GUI.
