Private Mobile Radio (PMR) provides a secure, private communication network designed specifically for exclusive groups or organizations. Radios operating on PMR are configured to communicate only within a designated private fleet with three seperate groups (channels), ensuring that conversations are restricted to authorized users. This setup allows for enhanced control, privacy, and coordination, making it perfect for businesses, emergency services, or any group needing dedicated and confidential radio communication across defined areas or regions.
Community Band Radio (CBR) operates on open, shared groups that anyone with a compatible PoCkit radio can access and use. It’s designed for general communication within a community or group without restrictions, making it ideal for casual, everyday conversations, local events, or neighbourhood coordination. Since the channels are open, anyone tuned in can listen and join the conversation, promoting easy and spontaneous communication across a wide area.
